Texas Rangers
Jack Leiter has thrown 2,598 pitches that have been tracked by the PITCHf/x system between 2023 and 2025, including pitches thrown in the MLB Regular Season and Spring Training. In 2025, they have relied primarily on their Fourseam Fastball (98mph), Sinker (97mph) and Slider (89mph), also mixing in a Change (92mph) and Curve (83mph). He also rarely throws a Cutter (89mph).
In 2025, compared to other RHP:
Their fourseam fastball is thrown at a speed that's borderline unfair and generates more whiffs/swing compared to other pitchers' fourseamers. Their sinker generates an extremely high number of swings & misses compared to other pitchers' sinkers, is thrown at a speed that's borderline unfair, results in more flyballs compared to other pitchers' sinkers and has little sinking action compared to a true sinker. Their slider is thrown extremely hard, generates more whiffs/swing compared to other pitchers' sliders and has some two-plane movement. Their change is thrown extremely hard and dives down out of the zone. Their curve is much harder than usual, has a sharp downward bite, has primarily 12-6 movement and results in somewhat more flyballs compared to other pitchers' curves. Their cutter (take this with a grain of salt because they've only thrown 2 of them in 2025) is basically never swung at and missed compared to other pitchers' cutters, is an extreme flyball pitch compared to other pitchers' cutters, has little cutting action and has some natural sink.
